CMB Artist Features (Free)
First off CMB offers all country artists a comprehensive free listing on the Artists page. In this listing as per the real example for country musician Jay Hollis below, CMB users are able to quickly access other online resorces and websites for the artist. This also helps increase how major search engines rank these other pages (e.g. many such as Google consider these "in-bound" links as a sign of the popularity of that website or web page).

These listings are researched by CMB staff. They are not "automatically" created, but rather done individually as part of the personal attention to each artist's needs that CMB is based around. Real people are at work for you, and we care about your success.
EXTRA: It is from these official Artist Listings that CMB then selects videos or songs the artist has made available to be featured in a wide variety of CMB broadcasts. From appearing on the CMB front page, to the popular and unique popup Country Theatre, inclusion on real world and online country radio shows (e.g. "Real Music, Real People" as heard on 97.1 MID FM) and much more professional country music industry exposure. If an artist is keen, genuine and keeps in touch, obviously they are even more likely to be considered for features. Remember, we are truly "country" and we value that honesty in those we seek to support.
All artists are also included in the special scrolling photo gallery that appears at the top of selected CMB pages. It's another small way of increasing an artist's "recognition", an important factor in building your image. Where an artist also has a special CMB Artist Page their photo is highlighted in the gallery and when clicked on the site visitor is taken directly to that artist's feature page. You can read more about these CMB Artist feature pages below.

CMB Artist Pages (Selected Artists)
If artists choose to build a positive relationship with the CMB team, they can request to be considered for their own complete and detailed Feature Artist Page. As each such page is created individually and contains many special features, this opportunity is at the discretion of CMB Artist Services and is usually offered to artists genuinely wishing to make that next step in their music promotion.
There is no charge for these feature pages. Often it is CMB's way of affirming grass-roots artists who show sincere commitment to furthering their country music career. These pages are also part of the management and promotion services CMB offers their professional clients and signed artists.
However the free opportunity exists for everyone to apply, and CMB does encourage grass-roots country music artists to contact CMB and enquire about having such a page built specifically for themselves. Your co-operation will be required as the pages feature your own online jukebox, a professional photo gallery, embedded examples of your music videos, scans of CD's/DVD's you may have available along with much more information that both potential fans and the country music industry will find attractive. Prompt communication will be necessary to let the work proceed.
We invite you to look at some actual examples of these pages and how these pages specifically promote the artist, their career and achievements to date:

News Stories, Interviews and Media Contact (Selected Artists)
CMB is pleased to be able to offer grass-roots country music artists significant media exposure via not only CMB's own media outlets, but also the many other newspapers and magazines (both on and offline) with whom CMB has established contacts. CMB also has access to specialist press release companies who can even further ensure that feature stories or latest news on an artist can reach an even wider audience. We're always happy to point you in the right direction, no cost involved!
Not all artists need or are ready for major media exposure. It's important to balance your growth with the type of stories and outlets in which an artist is featured. Local newsletters, newspapers and even on-line blogs are great ways for up-and-coming artists to seek publicity commensurate to their achievements to date.
CMB will feature in it's online news selected artists regardless of their "fame" to date. This also helps ensure that the country music audience is able to hear about new artists who will help shape the future of country music in the years to come. The country music audience, unlike most other genres, is quite open to "unknowns". For country music is a genre that is very much about the person and the story rather than how famous they may or may not yet be. That's the history of country music, music by the people and for the people.
If you'd like to be considered for an article in the CMB News, or for wider exposure via our associates or through press releases, simply contact CMB and we'll definitely consider all good stories.

On-air Radio Exposure
Radio was one of the original and most popular means for accessing country music. It has helped ease the potential isolation of country life, and for many families has provided a means of entertainment that can be shared by all ages. Music that country folk can relate to and so often sung from the heart by people who can understand the various trials, challenges, joys and sadness that can be uniquely experienced by those who live on the land.
For this reason CMB has dedicated a whole page of this website to our CMB Radio broadcasts. We actively seek new artists to interview and who's music we can share with our country audience. Remember the country genre is very broad, and it is music of all styles that our audience is keen to hear. Please see our CMB Radio page for more information and to listen to our online broadcasts. Also the grass-roots CMB radio show "Real Music, Real People" can be heard online by visiting our popular and unique popup Country Theatre.

How Did CMB Begin?
CMB Artist Services was formed over many years as grass-roots independent artists, producers and even country music fans looked for a method by which they could share ideas, talents and projects with the widest possible audience. Without the budgets of the big record labels and production houses, and often driven by idealism rather than commercialism, they found that the best answer lay in the pooling of resources and drawing on that special "something" that lies at the heart of true country life - community.
As projects took off, artists achieved success and access to professional equipment and personnel grew, CMB never forgot it's roots. And it's own original promise to always support grass-roots country music initiatives. As the world of music changed with the advent of the digital age, especially the internet, CMB set out to provide a series of methods by which a greater variety of new artists could not only be heard, but seen.
Some of the early projects that helped form what today is CMB Artist Services include simple country TV series such as "Have Car Will Travel", "Folklore Explored", "The Bushpainter" and "Wild, Blue and Free" just to name a few. Each included a country music element, and each offered via their websites MP3 downloads of the featured songs which later evolved to become more professional music video clips. Early internet music broadcasts were just a simple video of live and unplugged performances by various artists. Newspapers and magazines were also begun such as "The Country Boot". Rough and ready, and very country!
From these beginnings has come the CMB of today. CMB Artist Services looks forward to assisting today's country musicians in gaining publicity, exposure and helping raise their profile not only within the industry itself, but also directly to their potential fans.

Is There a Catch?
NO CATCH, NO FINE PRINT and all done in TRUE COUNTRY SPIRIT. This website was specifically designed as an arm of Country Music Broadcasting to support and promote country music and country musicians. CMB clearly defines any additional services that are offered to artists IF the artist is interested. This website and the services on offer represent CMB's clear intent to broaden the range of country music and musicians that fan's can access. Talent is not confined to a few big names or whether and artist has been fortunate enough to have been signed by a major label. Country music has always been the music of real people. And that's all CMB seeks to do, create a two-way medium between lovers of country music and country music performers. You can contact CMB at anytime with any questions or for clarification on any matter. Please enjoy yourself and BE YOU!

Why The Industry Interest?
The music industry, regardless of genre, is changing. The way people access music, seek information on their favourite stars and how/where they expect to find it has changed in recent years. Though the traditional methods such as albums, concerts and hard-print magazines will always be with us, digital mediums such as the internet have become a primary means for people to explore their love of music. The country music industry is no exception, and the industry recognises the need to keep the country music genre "up with the times" whilst not losing sight of the very reason country music evolved in the first place - what is colloquially referred to as "traditional country values".
Artists can find themselves "stars" via the new broadcast medium of the internet, and gain a large and loyal following before they have even released a CD, album or physical recording. However to take that next step in a successful and enjoyable musical career, the backing of the established industry (e.g. Record labels, TV programs, radio shows, magazines etc.) is essential. Plus fans around the world are always looking for music that can become a part of their life. They also need a way to discover the new artists.
So now there is an extra way in which the industry, artist, and fans can meet. CMB has used this internet arm of their overall broadcasting and media outlet to provide a professional method by which the industry can virtually "meet" new talent. In turn new talent can receive extra exposure to the industry and the country music community at large. It's a win-win all round.
