Welcome to CMB's artist feature with The Back Country Connection
Ray Bertram of The Back Country Connection at home in Arkansas
The Back Country Connection is a band...sort of. We're actually an online creative group working together toward combining our common talents into marketable projects and productions.
With a number of writers and musicians and other industry-related talents working together cooperatively, The Back Country Connection projects range from Country, to Pop, to Folk, to Rock, and beyond.
You can find The Back Country Connection on MySpace and YouTube, too, and if you check our MySpace blog section you'll find a listing of all of our currently completed projects with working links.
And we'd like to say a big thanks to all those who have supported us along the way. Our family, friends, and especially to those people who log in and listen to our music, or watch our videos. Your support really makes the effort worthwhile and we enjoy getting to know each of you.
Music History and Background
The Back Country Connection's Glenn Spayth in Tennessee
We started the Back Country Connection in the summer of 2008 and we've seen an unbelieveable amount of growth in the time since. We have a steadily growing number of songs and videos out on SoundClick (various sites) and videos on YouTube.
We have seen over 40 songs produced within our first year, and that number continues to sky rocket upwards. And to date, we are either working with or have worked with singer/musician/producers in America (Tennessee, Georgia, Ohio, California, Arizona...), Ireland, Germany, Sweden, the U.K., South Africa, The Netherlands, and a few other places too.
So if you enjoy what we're doing then stay tuned - we have new productions of all types and kinds in the works these days and being constantly rolled out. If you have any questions or comments feel free to contact us - we're always happy to make new friends
Something Special! One of the most popular online country radio shows is The Country Rose Show, and The Back Country Connection were featured in one of the show's special episodes. Hold On - The Back Country Connection
Artists Description: "The song "Hold On" is a collaborative work between Ray Bertram (Arkansas), Robert Baitinger (Germany), and Donovan Plant (California/USA). Ray wrote the original lyric, Robert Baitinger produced it, and Donovan Plant sang the vocals and made other contributions, as well. Ray actually wrote the lyric in his head while his family was visiting the zoo featured in the video..."
The Other Side - The Back Country Connection
Artists Description: ""The Other Side" is a collaborative effort between Ray Bertram and good friend Austrian singer/musician/producer Martin Gotz. There's a special story behind this song/video, too. Ray wrote the lyric the day after his wife's father, John Harvey, passed away last year. This past August, after his grandfather - Charles O. Bertram - had taken several bad turns, Ray asked Martin if he would consider producing the lyric into a song for him..."
