Francie Reith
Francie Reith
Francie has loved country music as long as she can remember and it has always been a part of her heart and soul. "Growing up as a child living on a ranch in North Central Montana, there was always a radio playing country music inside and outside while working on the ranch".

The journey of making Francie Reith's debut country CD; "Montana Heart of Country" began ten months ago, when she embarked on an adventure like never before with all it's own twists and turns that will remain with her always.

"I compare it to a wedding day, the birth of a child, the thrill of a journey into the recording world.

Music History and Background

Francie Reith's first experience with singing was with gospel music in a folk choir. "At that time I learnt a few chords and played a twelve string guitar. I also sang with a band and we did some travelling, singing and playing gospel music as a ministry for different functions around Montana."

One day she decided that she would love to sing country music for a living, so she bought her favorite CD’s, learnt the songs and started singing with other groups who sang in their homes or local karaoke clubs.

"About ten months ago I became inspired to record a CD. The music I chose was my country music favorites, artists and songs. I named the album "Montana Heart of Country". There were many times when we were recording and there would be new struggles with equipment, breakdowns, or sickness, I lost my voice for a whole month. I recall phoning the studio to confirm a session and found out that my recording manager went missing while traveling to Idaho. To make a long story short he was found four days later and we were in the studio one week later working towards the final stages of my miracle CD".

"I have come to believe that my journey took longer than I had ever hoped for; my obstacles were more numerous than I could believe, and the disappointments were greater than I ever imagined. But the rewards in this journey will be higher than I could have ever anticipated."

Title: Montana Heart of Country

This is an amazing album sure to please fans throughout the world. One of the tracks:"Always On My Mind" has been recorded as a duet with country singer Tom Clontz. "Sweet Emmylou" is a passionate rendition which is sure to be a pleaser.

Francie's CD was recorded in a studio in Lakeside Montana, called Lobo Records. The man in charge there, Lou Rogers is a recording artist himself many times over. He had a band called the Rogers Brothers and has played music with and for many famous country stars.

"At my first recording session, I felt at ease in my new surroundings learning the ins and outs of the business. I gave Lou a song list and we began one song at a time, mixing instrumental tracks with me singing songs many times over until we both got the end result we wanted. I had two days a week to record, with the rest of the week open to my day job. Mastering our music took long hours and sometimes days to record a song. I became consumed, and totally focused. I gave up all other activities in my life".

"To all of my heroes of country music that inspired this album and made it possible, thankyou for showing me what great country music can be".
