Meet Kip Davies, the bloke behind the songs, microphone, guitar, piano, racing wheel, paint brush or camera. He is so diverse and multi-talented in so many areas it's amazing. let's talk on one of his greatest passions; his music.
Not only can he write the songs, he can play any instrument he gets his hands on and can sing to any tune he's given. We call him a musical prodigy here at CMB.
" Music is another way of painting. You take nothing but a feeling, an experience, or some urge for unknown reasons to share something sad, funny, memorable - whatever - and you rip it out of your guts in a bid to make it understandable by other people.
To let them also share that feeling. Maybe to touch some part of their lives, and for a moment join with them in sharing some moment together. Music is very personal to me".
Music History and Background
Kip Davies on location for T.V series "Wild, Blue and Free"
Kip Davies was born with music in his soul and his love for music goes back as far as he can remember. At the age of four he was singing on a restaurant table, entertaining people. One of his earliest songs: "In The Moonlight" was recorded by artists from as early as six.
Growing up he could be found sitting on the back step under the stars songwriting. Pondering life's mysteries and yearning to change the world. And so he wrote, and throughout his career his music reached far and wide, touching many hearts and providing relief in a lonely world.
Chances are that if a song has moved you to tears and has a crying lead break, strings and piano, it was probably born from the little boy who used to sit under the stars and try to solve the world's problems. "If I touch someone, or they laugh, or dance, I feel moved. Its what its about. Connecting to people. I hope they feel they have got close to me through the music".
With a prolific songwriting record and no limit to the types of songs he can write, it's a real pleasure he has joined up with fellow country girl Ruby Rose Taylor and given country music fans a taste of the depth that's inside this musician's soul. And as Reba McEntire once said: "put the heart back in country music".

These Roads - Kip Davies and Ruby Rose Taylor. Released: May 2010
Artists Description: "We wrote "These Roads" as we came to truly know the life story of an older Australian country chap we had met through music. As he shared his story of life, of his experiences, joys and regrets, we felt the common ground that existed between us despite the significant difference in years.
Each of us can face wars and battles in life of many different kinds. As even today men and women of all ages, military and civilians, are affected by the current war on terror, we know that the often lonely journey that is life is not confined to any particular age, race or belief system. It is in truly listening to each others life journey and being willing to reach out, that we can show the love, respect and recognition for which every person yearns.
These Roads is an Australian country song written from the heart which we hope will encourage people to see past age or appearance and instead recognise the depth within everyone of us. All of us through life are on a journey down these roads."
We've Got To Keep Trying - Kip Davies and Ruby Rose Released: September 2010
Artists Description: "We wrote this song after we learnt how thousands of children are currently dying each day due to Malaria, and that this disease is easily preventable and treatable. However this tragedy is happening in the poorer parts of our world, and it's not something that even makes the news.
We found out that many doctors actually volunteer to go into the areas where Malaria is a problem, even though this can place them at risk. For example often in these poorer countries, there are civil wars being fought, and medical aid isn't on the agenda of those doing the fighting.
Doctors, nurses and other aid workers are often targets in these military situations. Sometimes also there is simply no infrastructure in place to allow for medical help, or Malaria has flared up in inaccessible regions without roads or other easy transportation. Our hearts go out to those suffering, and we truly admire the courage of those trying to help."
