An example of the unexpected success that greeted Robin from country fans from around the globe is well illustrated by the growth and following his YouTube® page achieved. As Robin put it "My little YouTube site with no people went from nothing to over 3,000 friends and over 600 subscribers in less than two months". Quite an achievement considering the many challenges, not the least being that he had only the most basic equipment available to make his recordings. But that is Robin, a man in the ilk of Johnny Cash and others who have done it the hard way and yet remained positive and committed to sharing his music.
Robin explained: "I have been singing online since August 2009 so just a little over a year. I have received comments such as: "I never liked Country Music until I came to your channel Robin, now I am a country fan". Or "I was angry when I woke up at the next door neighbours I listened to your song and all of a sudden I was in a good mood ready to meet the day".
Recently CMB has had the pleasure of getting to know this talented performer, and currently he is working with Country Music Broadcasting on an original song of triumph through tragedy "Wanted Man". The song is to be included on CMB's upcoming "Rising Stars of Country" CD, and is also being considered for release as a special single. Hopefully we will see the partnership between Robin and CMB continue to grow, and resultingly more people can come to know this self-motivated and genuine country singer.
