On top of the development of it's own country television concepts, CMB has also been keen to support new ideas put forward by a wide variety of individuals and organisations, regardless of their previous experience in the often cut-throat world of television production. CMB is true to it's country roots, and operates as a country organisation, priding itself in genuine old-fashioned person-to-person contact with the many talented people wishing to have their chance to make a new concept work.
Successful and award winning programs from the CMB TV stable range from on-going TV series such as "Wild, Blue and Free", "The Bush Painter" and "Have Car Will Travel" to one-off specials, country music concerts and documentaries. CMB particulary enjoys working with projects that are unique and show the individuality of the presenters and their chosen topics.
A one hour "Blair Witch" style program, "A Tale of Two Tasmanians" went on to become a limited independant cinema release, receiving critical acclaim from international press. Another similar project, a special feature length episode of the "Folklore Explored" series became a cult video release as the host, a motorsport racer, country musician and crazy adventurer, took viewers on a journey into the ghostly legends surrounding a lost "racecar graveyard" on Phillip Island (Victoria, Australia).
With Direct Digital Broadcasting via ADSL, Broadband and other technical internet initiatives the way of the future in broadcasting, CMB is proud to be in negotiation with UKTV4 and "Free to Net TV" to further expand the CMB TV audience reach.
